A Yorkshire Tribute mouse mat

This Yorkshire dialect Mouse mat was launched as a special for the Yorkshire Family History Fair on June 30th 2007. The poem was written by the late Len Wilde of Ossett who died in 1996 aged 86 and who was a keen genealogist himself. He did a lot of valuable work transcribing the local census returns ready for computer acceptance. This is our thanks from all the genealogists out there and a further tribute to his lasting memory.

Permission has been given to Family Tree Folk to publish by his son, Kevin Wilde who has his own website  http://www.yorkshire-dialect.org/ where this and many other amusing poems by Len Wilde and a vast number of authors can be found that will appeal to anyone interested in Yorkshire dialect.

This Family History verse is not only interesting with it's Yorkshire dialect representation but also quite humorous for all family historians out there.
