The Chinese New Year is a major celebration in the Chinese year. Planning begins twenty-two days before the start date of the New Year and continues for fifteen days after. The New Year is based upon a lunar (moon) month so the actual date varies from year to year.
Our unique keyrings are symbolic of the importance of using the colours red and gold. Red is used to ward off evil spirits and gold represents wealth and good fortune. Each carries the individual Chinese animal symbol and gives the applicable years over the last 100 years. The year 2008 is the Year of the Rat.
On the reverse are eight personality traits of your individual sign and the compatible signs who you should best relate to in life, business and romance.

Choosing the correct year (100 year table)
To choose the correct sign for your birthday use the table below. If you only want the year in which you were born that is easy, but if you were born between Jan 1st and Feb 20th you need to check the dates below. Using this table you can determine exactly which sign you fall under.
Example using the 1908 Year of the Monkey below: Anyone born between Feb 2nd 1908 and Jan 22nd 1909 would be Year of the Monkey but if they were born Jan 1st 1908 to Feb 1st 1908 this falls into the previous Lunar Year Animal – the Sheep.
